Ken Follet is a good author, and he and other authors are good at portraying psychopaths, because so many of the &quot;bad guys&quot; in popular novels ARE psychopaths. How well they are described depends on the author.

Follet&#039;s descriptions are quite good. It isn&#039;t infrequent though that I find good descriptons of Ps in fiction, and even in NON-fiction and in the history books I tend to read over fiction. The descriptions are great, but the understanding of these disordered people is usually not so good.
