Too many people believe it will NEVER happen to them, they are "too smart" or that victims should just "get over it." Sociopaths cost money and time. It's my feeling that until the medical-psychiatric research community can isolate the cause and create a cure that attempts at intervention will only consume many millions of dollars which could be spent on research. With the present state of affairs, we only know that they do not change... Not mentioned in the article was the peripheral damage that the victims incur and the unmeasurable amount of human suffering inflicted by antisocial behavior. It’s startling when one thinks in terms of dollar-damages and that intervention at any cost is unlikely to be successful.
