Donald Lee-Edwards, 43, of Staten Island, New York was arrested and charged with impersonating a psychologist and illegally prescribing antidepressants. He met with more than 100 patients in a makeshift office in the basement of a home he shared with his parents.

“This so-called ‘doctor’ is a dangerous scam artist who never complerted any medical school or doctoral program,” said Acting Richmond County District Attorney Daniel Master Jr., according to the Associated Press.

I’d also be curious to know what this fellow’s PARENTS knew, or believed, about what was going on in their own basement!

Apart from that, it’s often worth perusing the readers’ COMMENTS appended to news articles like this one—for more than one reason. Many comments are silly or tasteless of course, but sometimes readers’ comments add explanatory background and depth to a story. Sometimes they provide much-needed correction to the lies persistently foisted on us by the leftist media—about that shooting in Ferguson, for instance. And sometimes they just tell a story of their own, as they do here. Nobody should miss this comment posted by a guy calling himself “Harry Kneecaps”:

Nov 24 2004 – “Man Arrested for Posing as Gynecologist

Authorities in Dallas launched an undercover investigation after seeing an ad in a weekly newspaper offering free medical care. They say Thomas Remo wore a scrub shirt and had some medical equipment in the small kitchen of the storage facility office where he worked.”

Nov 20 2011 – “Fake Doctor Injected Cement Into Woman’s Rear, Police Say

A woman who wanted to work at a nightclub started searching for someone who could perform plastic surgery at a cheap price to give her a curvier body. Police say what she found was a woman posing as a doctor who filled her buttocks with cement, mineral oil and flat-tire sealant.”

I highly recommend that people stop searching for doctors on Craigslist.

Cement and flat-tire sealant! The mind boggles! Here’s one of several links I found to that story:

Even more unbelievable, this fake woman doctor injected the same stuff into HERSELF! The results are visible in the photo.
