Protestors picket Georgia Family Court Judge John Goger

John Goger, a family court judge in Fulton County, Georgia, came under protest yesterday because he sent a 10-year-old girl to live with her father, who was twice arrested for abusing her. Five independent assessments supported the girl’s allegations. Protesters also railed against Judge Bensonetta Lane.

It’s about time somebody drew attention to the judges making bad decisions. I thought the advocate was very perceptive in explaining that the judges have their relationships with certain attorneys, and are prone to do what those attorneys want. This is a really scary situation. It sounds like the only way to win is to pick an attorney who is buddy-buddy with a judge.
